+ What do you primarily shoot?
I primarily shoot weddings and engagements. I have also shot events for Time Out Chicago along with fashion and product photography for Chicago based companies.
+ Tell us about your style
I tailor my approach to each wedding since every couple is so unique. I try to listen to what you are comfortable with since what works for some may not work for others. I transition between documentary/photojournalism to more traditionally capturing formal photos throughout the course of the day.
What defines my style is a more editorial approach to photographing the two of you. I enjoy capturing fun, exuberant energy and reactions of you and your guests to the events as they unfold throughout the night. Key shots during the ceremony and posed family shots are essential as well, more often than not it's a time when distant family members come together in a rare moment. I also really love a good dance floor and half the time wish I was dancing out there too.
+ How many weddings have you shot?

+ Do your packages include an assistant?
YES!!! I always have a second shooter and will determine on a case by case basis if one is needed if your guest count is 50 and below.
+ Can we request specific shots?
YES you definitely can. I suggest using Pinterest to gather images that you like so I get a sense of your style. If there are specific poses you find I can guide you through that.
+ Do you pose us?
Some people feel very awkward in front of a camera. I get it. Engagement shoots can be especially awkward and I usually start out giving you prompts and over time after chatting and hanging out with me you'll focus more on each other and less on the camera.
I tend to pose and stage more for formal kinds of photos and if I see something awkward happening I will guide you away from that.
+ Do you edit all the images for us?
Yes I correct for exposure, color, saturation, shadows and run some filters to make your skin smoother for each image.
+ How many photos should I expect to receive?
Depends on the size of your wedding but anywhere between 800-2000 is what I have turned in typically.
+ Do you travel and what are the fees associated with that?
I LOVE to travel and will be happy to do so. I really only ask you to help with airfare and I'll be there for you!
+ Do you do location scouting?
Yes I can go look at your venue or specific locations you are thinking about for wedding photos. We can go together too if you are doing a walkthrough or just want to spend more time with me :-)
+ What is the booking process like?
Let me know that you are interested in booking me and I can give you a specific contract based on what you want. I require a deposit to hold me for the day (usually about $700) and then we are good to go! Full payment is typically due two weeks before your date but I can be flexible.
+ We Like you and your images! What are the next steps?
Great! I'm so happy to hear that...We should schedule a time to meet and get to know each other. Lets get coffee or a drink at your favorite bar and talk!
